This five-hour online learning course provides you with the skills and knowledge to develop highly scalable database-oriented solutions by using Microsoft .NET technologies.
This course will enable you to identify the various techniques for managing database table identity keys, develop transactional systems in a multilayered application, analyze the data locking strategies, and handle potential deadlocks that may occur when manipulating data in the database.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
• Describe the use of auto-increment columns and Globally Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) for managing database table row identity.
• Handle data identity in a distributed system by using ADO.NET.
• Describe SQL transaction handling and componentized transaction management in .NET.
• Implement optimistic and pessimistic distributed application locking in .NET.
• Identify why deadlocks occur and describe how to handle them.
• Automate deadlock handling by using Real Proxy interception.
