Course Objectives

• Understand how to implement perimeter defenses.
• Use Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server to protect the network perimeter.
• Implement client defenses using Windows Firewall.
• Protect Exchange Server, SQL Server, and Small Business Server.
• Describe measures to help keep data secure and private.
• Identify important tasks to improve your organization's security.
• Understand the importance of client and server security.
• Describe advanced measures for implementing server security.
• Describe advanced measures for implementing client security.
• Identify methods to increase security for Windows operating systems.
• List methods available for increasing security for Internet Information Services (IIS).
• List methods available for providing mobile client security.
• Describe the options available for implementing security on wireless networks.
• Implement wireless network security using PEAP and password solutions.
• Troubleshoot wireless security network problems.
Technical Requirements
To view this course, you need:
• A Pentium II, 256 MB RAM with a processor speed greater than or equal to 400 MHZ
• Microsoft® Windows® 2000 or higher
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
• Macromedia Flash 7.0 or higher (1MB disk space needed to install)
• Microsoft Windows Media Player 7.0 or higher
• Microsoft XML Core Services 3.0 or higher
• A Super VGA monitor with minimum screen resolution 1024x768, with 16-bit color.
